MD/DC ACT is co-sponsering two VIN Etching Events with the Howard County Police Department; one at The Village of King's Contrivance, Columbia on May 26, 2008 and one at The Oakland Mills Village Center, Columbia on May 31, 2008.

MD/DC ACT held Auto Arson Training for Member Companies at the Montgomery County Fire Rescue Training Academy on May 8, 2008. News stations Channel 4, Channel 7, and Channel 9 covered the event.
